Livintwist’s philosophy stems from the desire to rediscover timeless beauty in simple things, along with the fusion of different cultures.
We have always loved reimagining everyday objects, turning them into something extraordinary. For us, design goes beyond aesthetics – it’s a way to evoke emotions and enrich life itself.
But above all, we love involving those who share our vision — people who seek to transform, create, and embody the moments that truly matter in life. That’s why we are always on the lookout for new and inspiring projects in the world of design.
Today, we are delighted to reveal the details of a new and significant collaboration with architect Matteo Ragni. This partnership embodies a shared vision of living spaces, blending tradition with experimentation to create a collection with a hybrid character.
With this partnership, Livintwist deepens its research and experimentation, exploring new forms, materials, and concepts to create furnishings that are not only beautiful, but also tell stories and deliver unique experiences.
Finally, architecture meets outdoor design, thus creating a collection that celebrates the balance between past and future, aesthetics and functionality, craftsmanship and technology.
And this is just the beginning.
Matteo Ragni and outdoor design
He is a two-time winner of the prestigious “Compasso d’Oro” award, assigned by the Industrial Design Association (ADI) with the aim of rewarding and promoting the quality of Italian design.
The first time was in 2001, with the disposable eating utensil Moscardino, designed together with Giulio Iacchetti. The second was in 2014, again with Giulio Iacchetti, for the design of a series of manhole covers for Montini.
Over the years, he has also been honoured with numerous national and international awards – a testament to his eclectic yet discreet design approach, always characterised by subtle irony and an essential and reflective aesthetic.
In recent years, he has not only used design as an end in itself, but also as a powerful tool for creating connections and building collaborative networks that broaden commercial and cultural opportunities, which are often difficult to develop individually.
His commitment also extends to the cultural and academic spheres, with ongoing participation in group exhibitions, curatorial projects, teaching roles, and conferences both in Italy and abroad.
Collaboration with Livintwist
Architect Matteo Ragni is set to bring a breath of fresh air to outdoor design with an approach that seamlessly blends aesthetics, functionality, and a bold narrative.
His ability to transform everyday objects into iconic and meaningful elements has redefined the international design scene. This vision now merges with that of Livintwist, giving rise to a collaboration that promises to revolutionise the way we experience outdoor spaces with two new products.
Livintwist has established itself as a brand that goes beyond simply designing furniture, focusing on research and experimentation to reinterpret the concept of outdoor furnishings through cutting-edge solutions that enhance the quality of time spent outdoors.
On this basis, our collaboration marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the evolution of outdoor design, combining unique materials and harmonious forms.
Innovation is not only reflected in the forms and materials but also in the concept behind the project: transforming terraces, gardens, and outdoor spaces into areas of connection and well-being, where design goes beyond functionality to become a sensory experience.
An unmissable event
For design enthusiasts, Livintwist’s event at the 2025 edition of Fuorisalone will be a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the creative process behind the new collection.
Not just a furniture exhibition, but an immersive experience, enabling visitors to touch the materials, explore the inspirations behind each piece, and discover the perfect balance between aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
Fuorisalone has always been a meeting point for designers, companies, and enthusiasts, and this year, Livintwist will be part of this context with a proposal that goes beyond just showcasing products but invites us to reflect on the role of design in contemporary living.
In short, it’s an unmissable opportunity for those looking to bring the excellence of modernity into their outdoor spaces.
Don’t miss the chance to discover the visionary essence of Livintwist and its new collaboration with architect Matteo Ragni!
Livintwist’s latest innovation
The 2025 edition of Fuorisalone marks a moment both special and pivotal for Livintwist, as the brand unveils the Belvedere collection – a project born from the collaboration with architect Matteo Ragni.
This project is more than just a furniture collection; it is a true statement of intent: to redefine outdoor design through a language capable of seamlessly blending aesthetics, functionality, and innovation.
A collection that uniquely merges two of the brand’s signature elements: aesthetic research and functionality, reinterpreting outdoor design in a contemporary light while retaining the charm of vintage inspirations.
The new collection: Belvedere
The Belvedere collection perfectly embodies the subtle balance existing between nostalgia and modernity. Inspired by the carefree spirit of the 60s, this collection celebrates the authentic connection between people and the return to a filter-free world, providing a sophisticated and immersive way to relax.
The collection is designed for those who are always connected but long to disconnect and rediscover the balance between online and offline life.
Here, digital detox is portrayed as a refuge where tranquillity reigns, an oasis far from everyday distractions, where you can savour the simple pleasures of daily life. It serves as a tangible invitation to consciously slow down, to immerse yourself in your surroundings, to appreciate the colours and scents of nature, and to rediscover the magic of a filter-free sunset.
Primarily, it aims to be a sensory experience that transforms outdoor spaces into scenarios of pure harmony and well-being.
With smooth lines inspired by vintage design, the collection includes iconic furniture such as the convertible rocking sofa and a lounge with storage space. A tangible invitation to rediscover the beauty of the present and make the most of every moment.
Among the elements that characterise the collection, we can highlight:
- A convertible rocking sofa with a removable protective screen, which can become an intimate loveseat or a ‘canoe’ seat providing individual or shared moments of relaxation.
- A rocking lounge with pouf and coffee tables, equipped with a small hidden storage compartment, perfect for those seeking elegant yet practical solutions.
Livintwist a Tortona Rocks
This year, Livintwist is changing location and heading to Opificio 31, one of the most dynamic and creative hubs of Milan Design Week – Tortona Rocks – one of the unmissable events of Fuorisalone that every year, during the week of Fuorisalone alone, attracts a large international audience of professionals and visitors.
Tortona Rocks is the independent project located in the Tortona district which, since 2001, has succeeded in establishing itself as an exhibition and communication concept, selecting and promoting the content hosted in the extensive exhibition circuit.
Essentially, the project is part of the Fuorisalone event as one of the most intriguing and dynamic design settings during the design week, and over time it has become a benchmark for design in Milan, as well as being one of the unmissable destinations during Fuorisalone.
One of the creative epicentres of the district, where design is given top priority and new forms of communication are constantly being experimented with, while still allowing space for cross-fertilisation.
This new location allows Livintwist to strengthen its simple yet extraordinary identity, placing it in a space whose main goal is to celebrate boundless creativity.
What is behind Unframed Design
This year’s edition takes its inspiration from the theme Unframed Design, a format that aims to subvert the more traditional exhibition conventions.
And, as a result, completely abandoning pre-established frameworks, placing the power of freedom of expression at the heart of everything, beginning with the experimentation of new modes of communication.
In this unique location, design is freed from any rigid constraints, transforming into a fluid and engaging experience, capable of surprising and inspiring new visions among the audience.
The invitation extended to everyone, professionals and visitors alike, is for them to totally immerse themselves in the environment and experience design in a spontaneous and personal way, exploring without any filters and letting themselves be guided by instinct and curiosity.
Uncertainty is no longer regarded as a limitation to be wary of, but rather a unique and unmissable opportunity to discover new meanings and new connections between objects, spaces and emotions.
With its innovative spirit, Livintwist fits perfectly into this picture, offering an experiential journey in which design becomes an authentic and engaging expression of aesthetics, functionality and entertainment.
This is just the beginning
We repeat, the 2025 edition of Fuorisalone will be the perfect opportunity to enjoy an immersive experience in the world of outdoor design conceived by Livintwist, and to be inspired by Matteo Ragni’s unique vision.
With an approach that pushes beyond conventions and predefined paths, Livintwist perfectly aligns with the spirit of the Tortona district, embracing the Unframed Design theme. And, from its position, it demonstrates that creativity is limitless, and design can become a universal language of emotions and experiences.
Opificio 31, part of the prestigious Tortona Rocks project, provides the perfect setting to immerse visitors in a stimulating environment where they can explore the Belvedere collection, examine the materials up close, discover the inspiration behind each piece, and understand how design can enhance the quality of everyday life.
We want to celebrate the beauty of spaces where design, functionality, and well-being intersect, creating environments that inspire and foster connection between those who spend time in them.
This project is an invitation to rediscover the pleasure of enjoying outdoor spaces, to slow down and have a break, choosing to immerse yourself in atmospheres that narrate stories of innovation and tradition.
